TradeTracker is undergoing one of its fastest growth phases in its history. With operations in several markets and having opened a new London office, this phase continues as TradeTracker is delighted to announce it has set up offices in Poland (Warsaw) and Hungary (Budapest). The new offices will start their marketing and sales activities this week.

Britain's £100bn internet economy leads the world in online shopping

A report out from Google & Boston Consulting Group today claims that the e-commerce sector is worth £100bn/year to the UK economy, or 7.2% of GDP.
British consumers seem more willing than those in the rest of the world to turn to online to source goods and services. Paul Zwillenberg, a partner at BCG and one of the report's authors, says "There is a perception that prices are higher in Britain and there is a perception – correctly – that you can buy goods and services cheaper online."

TradeTracker opens office in Finland

To compliment its offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the UK, TradeTracker has now opened an office in Finland.
The opening of the Helsinki office is part of TradeTracker's expansion in to the Scandinavian territories.
There are already more than 25 advertisers signed to TradeTracker Finland (www.tradetracker.fi).

UK consumers spent £5.46bn online in December

Online retail sales grew by 14% in 2009, with consumers spending £5.46bn in December alone.
According to the IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index, UK online sales grew by 3.8% between November and December, with sales equivalent to every person in the UK spending £88.93 online in December.
Despite the online retail sector growing by 14% over the past year, September sales grew by just 7.6%, the lowest month in the history of the index. The report attributed the slower growth for the month to warmer than usual weather and postal strikes.
