90% of all complaints about online promotions are caused by non-fulfilment

Over 90% of all complaints about online promotions are caused by the non-fulfilment of offers, according to the Institute of Sales Promotions (ISP).

Research by the industry trade body found 79% of all consumer complaints it received between February and May 2009 related to online promotions, up from 30% over the same period in 2008.

The figures represent a 340% increase year on year, with 92 of a total of 117 complaints relating to web offers.
